Ah back home again. It is always nice to get away but it is sure great to be home again. The dogs are happy to be home also. They will sleep for two days. I had a great time with a great bunch of people. Kathy and Kay gave me a sweet gift of a a green pillow pear. Hmmm I wonder why they gave me a pear? Oh well. I was told that I had to put the green pillow in place of honor. Ok so this picture showing its home.

Ok more pictures. It rained all day Friday we got 6.6 inches of rain. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Nasty nasty day. Looks better today. So we all painted master works in the house. That pear painting is not mine. My lawyer is on the case. We had some leaks from the strong winds so that is why Karen is carrying towels to pick up the water. Bummer. Weather will be better today. Kewl Beans. Heading back in the morning. On our last night we go out to diner. Yummy.

Another great day. The diner was super duper and no got sick. One of the traditions at Folly is for everyone to hang their painting on the wall each day. Even if the painting is not done. These are some of the works. The other picture is Ralph and Tom in the kitchen shucking oyster for diner. Bummer that is hard work. Karen is in the red hanging her boat picture. If you see any good ones, they are probably mine. Kewl beans

Hmmm kind of like the three stooges. Did a little painting around the house today. Working in oils today I had been working in pastels. Nice day but a little chilly and windy. I hope no one get sick from our cooking. Ice cream bars for desert Yeah.

The Heaven Blue Rose Gallery (HBR) in Roswell, GA closed for the last time Thursday night. This is like losing an old friend. The gallery first opened in 1991 and I started showing my work in 1995. The HBR has a warm place in my heart since I sold my first pear painting, Pears No 1, there. Is kind of ironic that the last pear painting I have completed, Pears No 333, was in the final show. I wish the best for Cathy Moore the owner and a great friend in her future endeavors. I know the Roswell art community will miss HBR as it was a major force in promoting the arts.

While getting for my Folly painting trip, I was looking for some photographs to take in case the weather was bad. When the weather is bad, we paint in the house. I came across a photo of a painting I was doing while in Scotland. From the painting, one can see my on site oil set up. This particular painting was done on the most southern end of Loch Ness. There is a super little town here. The name of the town is Fort Augustus. Its about one hour south of Inverness. I made a few trips to this area since where some great subjects to paint and a great pub. Yeah Guinness. I titled the painting Loch Ness III. The best part I sold the painting. Kewl beans.

Big labor day. Diana Dice, the tall one, and I, the short one, hung Southern Colours Group Show today. The show is at The Unitarian Universalist of Gwinnett Church. I took some pictures of the show but they are not worth talking about. BUMMER Anyway, after the show, we pigged out at a great Greek restaurant. Oink Oink.
